There are a few different ways to make money online, but by far the easiest option is something called affiliate marketing.
Now you’ve probably heard this term before, it’s nothing new and people have been making money with affiliate marketing for decades.

For example, Amazon has an affiliate program.
This allows you to send someone a link to an Amazon product, a new iPad for example, and then when they buy it, you get paid.

The commission you earn on physical products is typically really low.
Normally around 2%.
That’s because there’s the cost of building the product, shipping it, and everything else.
That means that if someone buys an iPad for $350 you only make $7.
That means you’d need to sell nearly 15 iPads just to make $100…
That’s not great. In fact, it’s terrible.
Also, most people that want an iPad probably already have one.
And it’s pretty hard to convince someone to buy one – most people would just head straight to Amazon or the Apple store directly, without needing to be referred by you.
There are thousands of ‘gurus’ and ‘experts’ on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, selling overpriced ‘methods’ that literally tell you to do this.
DON’T DO THIS!
You won’t make any money. It’s a complete waste of time.
How to Actually Make Money with Affiliate Marketing
In order to make good money with affiliate marketing, we need to be really clever.
First, we have to find a product that has good commission and people want to buy.
And MOST importantly, it needs to be something that people don’t know WHERE or HOW to buy.
So first of all, steer clear of physical products – the commission is way too low – don’t bother.
So what about ‘Virtual’ products?
This includes e-books, how to guides (like the one you’re reading right now), software, diet plans, etc.
Now the good thing about Virtual products is they typically have very high commissions.
For example, a weight loss diet plan will typically have a 70% or higher commission – that means if the diet plan costs $50, you’ll make $35.
You’d have to sell 3 of these to make $100.
That’s still not great, and you need to do a lot of work to find people that actually want a diet plan.
This involves making a website, doing marketing, etc etc.
It’s hard work, and the pay is bad.
So here’s the trick:
We need to find high ticket virtual products, that have a high commission, that people actually want to buy.
And we need to be able to find people that need to buy these items.
And in this guide, I’m going to tell you the PERFECT product to sell:
Websites.
Yes, websites.
Think about it, pretty much everyone needs a website at some point in time.
Here’s just a short list of people that need a website:
- All Small Business Owners
- Builders, plumbers, roofers, carpenters, etc
- Beauticians, nail technician, hairdressers, etc
- eCommerce Sellers
- Dropshippers
- Anyone with a ‘Side Hustle’
- Music Teachers, Tennis Coaches, Tutors
- Life Coaches, Business Coaches
- Taxi Drivers & Chauffeurs
- Personal Chefs & Caterers
- Restaurants & Food Trucks
- Mechanics & Auto Repair
- Courier & Delivery Services
- Lawyers, Accountants, Professional Services

And the great thing is, websites have a high sale price associated with them.
They can cost between $300 – $2,000.
And remember the KEY thing I mentioned earlier:
We need to find a product people don’t know WHERE or HOW to buy.
Trying to buy a website is an absolute mine-field.
If you Google ‘buy a website’ or ‘get a website‘ right now you’ll be bombarded with thousands of different companies offering to build you a website.
And the prices vary immensely for the same type of website – one company might offer you $100 and another $1,000 for the exact same type of website.
This means it’s impossible to know who is trustworthy, and what the price should be.
Then you have the ‘DIY’ options like Wix, SquareSpace, Shopify, etc – these are cheaper, but then the person actually has to build their own website, which again is incredibly confusing since in most cases they have no experience doing this and aren’t even sure how it’s supposed to look.
People end up getting very confused and frustrated and normally just forget about the whole thing.
Just look at the amount of unfinished Wix and Shopify websites out there…
For example, over 258 million people have signed up to build a website with WIX.
But only 8 million of them actually completed and published their website!
So let’s recap:
There are millions of people that need a website.
It’s incredibly confusing to buy – should you build it yourself, or pay a company to build it for you? How much should it cost? And which service provider should you choose?
So now we’ve found a product that millions of people need, has a high price associated with it and is incredibly confusing and difficult to buy.

Think about that list that I just shared with you earlier, do you know any people like this?

All of these people need websites.
And if you’re like 99% of people, you probably know a decent number of people on this list.
And here’s the KEY point – most people that need a website will FIRST go to their friends and family BEFORE searching online.
This is because buying a website is such a confusing process.
Most people will first ask a trusted contact, friend or family member to see if they can help them.
You may well have had conversations with friends, family or others in the past when someone was thinking about getting a website.
Imagine if you could have made $200, for every single one of those conversations.
If no one has brought this up to you before, then the other option is to simply ask people that you know from the list above.
Simply ask them, ‘Hey, do you need a website?’ and they’ll probably tell you about how difficult and confusing it is.
Again, you can easily make $200 from these conversations.
When I first heard about this method, I started to remember all the conversations I’ve had about websites in my life.
My brother was probably the first one who brought it up when he was thinking about starting an online sneaker store.
Then there are aunts and uncles with various businesses, and friends that wanted to start side-hustle businesses.
At different points in my life, quite a few people have brought this up, and asked around to see if anyone could point them in the right direction.
Either in a group setting, over dinner perhaps, or one on one, in the case of my brother.
When I started to realize that I could have turned all of these conversations into $200 sales, I was honestly quite annoyed.
Thinking about all the money I could have made over the years was a little depressing!
So I started asking around, seeing if any of my friends or family members might need a website right now.

From here you just need to have a conversation with them, ask them what they’d like on the website, and what they need, etc. Keep it casual.
When the time is right, you then bring up the offer.
You’ll say to them: ‘You know, I’ve actually been helping another friend set up their website recently, they used this company and it was really easy and fast – I’d be happy to help you if you’d like’.
At this point, they’ll normally jump at the opportunity.
